– Introduction to assorted art principles and the digital implementation
2nd 6 Weeks – Animated .gif software
3rd 6 Weeks – Converting animated .gif to video format, incorporating sound
4th 6 Weeks – Creating web pages writing HTML code
5th 6 Weeks –  Introduction to 3-D object-oriented programming environment
6th 6 Weeks – Video and audio software

Graphic Design & Illustration
1st 6 Weeks – Introduction to Adobe Photoshop (PS) CC interface and tools
2nd 6 Weeks – PS CC – Layer basics, correcting digital basics, selections, masks & channels
3rd 6 Weeks – PS CC – Typographic design, vector drawing
4th 6 Weeks – PS CC – Visual properties, editing video, mixer brush, 3-D images, prepare files for web
5th 6 Weeks – PS CC – Preparation for PS CC ACA certification exam
6th 6 Weeks – PC CC – Continue preparation for ACA online certification, sit for exam before end of school year

Animation
1st 6 Weeks – Introduction to Adobe Flash (FL) CC, creating, animating, editing symbols
2nd 6 Weeks – FL CC – Animating shapes, interactive navigation, sound & video, external content
3rd 6 Weeks – FL CC – Creating games, publishing to HTML5
4th 6 Weeks – FL CC – Creating a variety of games, online preparation for FL CC ACA certification exam
5th 6 Weeks – FL CC – Creating a variety of games, online preparation for FL CC ACA certification exam
6th 6 Weeks – FL CC – Continue online preparation for ACA online certification, sit for exam before end of school year

Web Technologies
1st 6 Weeks – Introduction to HTML, CSS, FTP Client Server, creating web pages from writing HTML code
2nd 6 Weeks – Introduction to Adobe Dreamweaver (DW) CC interface and tools
3rd 6 Weeks – DW CC – Text, lists & tables, images, navigation, interactivity
4th 6 Weeks – DW CC – Web animation & video, forms, publishing to the web
5th 6 Weeks – DW CC – Preparation for PS CC ACA certification exam
6th 6 Weeks – DW CC – Conlinue preparation for FL CC ACA certification exam

Independent Study
• Students will determine the area(s) and direction of technology they want to independently and/or collaboratively pursue and research in order to further their understanding and eventually create/develop a product
Each six weeks, students will identify the technological area of study/sotftware that he/she wants to pursue

Yearbook I/II
Goal – Complete/produce/publish a comprehensive yearbook
 In order to publish a yearbook, the yearbook staff, as a whole, must sell:
   • $17,000 in total sales before the end of the 5th 6 weeks
       $10,000 in ad sales – business/senior
      $7,000 in yearbook sales – a minimum of 200 yearbook sales
 Each yearbook staff member must sell:
    $750 in ad sales – due the first day of school
    Sell and additional $250 in ad sales before the end of the 1st 6 weeks
    Sell a minium quota of yearbooks for the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th 6 weeks
    Must continue to sell both ads and yearbooks, above the minimum stipulated above, throughout the year so that the funds
     are available to publish the yearbook
  Each yearbook staff member must:
    Meet all assigned pages deadlines
    Attend all assgined events to take appropriate photos
    Write appropriate captions/copy for assigned pages/photos and help other staff members with same – proofread, spelling,
     grammar, mechanics
