Pharmacy Technician

The Pharmacy Technician program offered through Kaduceus, Inc., is a one-year program designed specifically for seniors. The program offers instruction in the knowledge and skills required of a Pharmacy Technician using lecture, group projects, PowerPoints, games, and independent learning. The entire course is classroom-based, but we do hope that in the future we may offer the students externships in local pharmacies to better prepare them for the world of work.

Upon completion of the full one-year program, the students will be prepared to take the PTCB exam that will allow them to secure employment in a retail pharmacy.

The program also offers training in sterile products that will prepare them to take the IV certification exam which will broaden their employment opportunities to include hospitals, outpatient clinics, doctors' offices, and any other facility where medication are dispensed and IV medications are prepared and administered.
