Independent Study
• Students will determine the area(s) and direction of technology they want to independently and/or collaboratively pursue and research in order to further their understanding and eventually create/develop a product
• Each six weeks, students will identify the technological area of study/sotftware that he/she wants to pursue
Yearbook I/II
Goal – Complete/produce/publish a comprehensive yearbook
• In order to publish a yearbook, the yearbook staff, as a whole, must sell:
• $17,000 in total sales before the end of the 5th 6 weeks
• $10,000 in ad sales – business/senior
• $7,000 in yearbook sales – a minimum of 200 yearbook sales
• Each yearbook staff member must sell:
• $750 in ad sales – due the first day of school
• Sell and additional $250 in ad sales before the end of the 1st 6 weeks
• Sell a minium quota of yearbooks for the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th 6 weeks
• Must continue to sell both ads and yearbooks, above the minimum stipulated above, throughout the year so that the funds
are available to publish the yearbook
• Each yearbook staff member must:
• Meet all assigned pages deadlines
• Attend all assgined events to take appropriate photos
• Write appropriate captions/copy for assigned pages/photos and help other staff members with same – proofread, spelling,
grammar, mechanics
