Longhorn Nation, I am excited to join Tarkington High School as the new principal! For over 15 years, I’ve had the privilege of serving in many roles—middle school English teacher, high school counselor, high school assistant principal, high school associate principal, and district director. Each of these experiences has fueled my passion for helping students dream big and achieve even bigger.

I’ve worked in both rural and large school districts, including Caddo Parish, Natchitoches Parish, Manor ISD, and Humble ISD. These diverse experiences have taught me how to be creative with resources, build strong systems, and always keep equity at the center of my work. Along the way, I’ve led teams of teachers and administrators, created systems to strengthen instruction, expanded CCMR programs, and coached leaders to keep student success at the heart of every decision.

I believe school should be a place where skills are strengthened, opportunities are discovered, and futures are built—and that’s the kind of environment I look forward to continuing at THS.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and son, and I find joy in praise and worship. I am honored to serve the Tarkington community in this new capacity and look forward to partnering with staff, parents, and students as we "Step Up to the Plate!"

With 22 years of experience in education, I currently serve as the Secondary Associate Principal of Instruction and Curriculum at Tarkington ISD. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Christian Leadership from the College of Biblical Studies and a Master’s in Educational Administration from Lamar University. I am also currently pursuing a Doctorate of Education at Lamar University.

I believe that all students have the potential to succeed when equipped with the right tools, guidance, and support. Likewise, all teachers can thrive when empowered with the resources, professional development, and encouragement they need to grow.

What I love most about my job is the people I work with and the students I serve—they truly make my heart happy.
